WHO WE ARE

We are a 501(c)(4) not-for-profit Social Welfare Group originated out of Southeastern Illinois who advocate and support children and families of separation/divorce by encouraging loving relationships between the child and both parents. We are advocates for for Equality in Family/Divorce Laws and we are supporters of equal/shared parenting time.  Our main focus is to get our proposed bill of rebuttable presumptive 50/50 shared custody to be passed and put into law in Illinois.

WHAT WE DO

We Advocate, educate, and support children and families. We educate and engage Parents and lawmakers on current social science research supporting equality in child/family court law.

HOW WE DO IT

Illinois Fathers for Equality diligently work on generating paths and solutions to fix our broken system and laws. We propose common sense bill ideas that support social science research findings and what really is best for children and families.

WHY WE DO IT

We believe that all parents in Illinois should be treated equally.  We feel like Illinois has outdated laws that do not support our social and societal beliefs.  We see the current trends in society that show the negative effects of children raised in single-parent homes. We want what really is the best interest of the children and what social science research confirms, which is children who are raised in a 50/50 co-parenting environment are leaps and bounds better off  in all aspects of life then those children raised in single-parent homes who only see their other parent minimally or not at all. We want children and families in Illinois to be successful.
